Pietro Maestri Joins FCB Milan as CEO and CCO
It was announced today that respected creative director Pietro Maestri will be leading FCB Milan as CEO and CCO, effective immediately. Maestri takes over from Franco Ricchiuti, who joined the agency in 2011.
“We would like to thank Franco for his commitment and dedication to FCB for the past four years. He told us a few months ago that he wanted to step down at the end of 2015, allowing us to search the market for the best possible replacement and a great partner for the management team,” said FCB International’s President Sébastien Desclée. “Pietro has a strong collaborative drive and a great track record of managing agencies in global networks. Maestri has 30 years of experience working with major international agencies. His career began at agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Young & Rubicam and TBWA, before founding his own agency, Transatlantic, in 1991. After three years the agency had doubled in size and, together with his account partner, he was asked to launch Conquest, the WPP network built to handle Alfa Romeo globally. In six years Conquest tripled in size and changed its brand into Red Cell. In 2002 he joined JWT as Executive Creative Director, where he won many awards, including 21 Cannes Lions. In 2010 Maestri was on the Gunn Report’s list of top twenty most awarded creatives in the world.
Since 2010 he has worked as a creative consultant working with local and international teams in Italy, UK, Dubai, Switzerland, and Poland on national and pan-European campaigns. He has also acted as creative consultant and writer for Prada. Prior to that, Maestri worked with clients across diverse categories including Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Heineken, Bayer, Vodafone, Rolex and Kellogg’s.
