OnePlus Engages FCB Inferno as Marketing Agency of Record
FCB Inferno today announced its appointment as the lead creative agency of OnePlus, the global premium smartphone brand.
The agency, alongside European FCB offices, including FCB Amsterdam, won the account after a competitive pitch ran entirely over Zoom. As part of the win, FCB will drive the ambitious brand’s European marketing and advertising and help fulfil OnePlus’ desire to become the #1 phone brand for the younger generation.
OnePlus is a global mobile technology company challenging conventional concepts of technology. Created around the “Never Settle” mantra, OnePlus creates exquisitely designed devices with premium build quality and fast and smooth user experience.
Since its inception in 2013, OnePlus has evolved and matured organically, due largely in part to its passionate community of users who have championed the brand across the globe. The brand boasts a highly engaged community of fans, including 13 million forum members from more than 183 countries, who guide all OnePlus new product development through their feedback.
Kate Parkyn, Associate Marketing Director of OnePlus, said: “We are excited to work with FCB on our next phase of growth in Europe. We have big ambitions and I’m glad we’ve found a partner that shares our ‘Never Settle’ spirit.”
FCB Inferno’s CEO Frazer Gibney said: “The power of OnePlus lies not only in the superiority of its product, but in the power of its community. We are thrilled to be working with such a disruptive, ambitious brand that inspires genuine devotion in its fans.”
FCB Inferno is one of London’s leading advertising agencies, and part of global advertising network FCB. The network dates back to 1873, and now has 9000 employees in 90 countries, with 120 at FCB Inferno. The agency’s clients sit across industry sectors and currently include Sport England, BMW, Kimberly Clark, the Home Office and the Premier League.
FCB Inferno was voted Agency of the Year at the inaugural Campaigns for Good awards. Over the past 4years we have been recognised at Cannes International Festival of Creativity in categories including Film, Social and Influencer, Mobile, Digital Craft and Brand experience. We received two Grand Prix awards in 2015 and 2016 and were the second most awarded European agency - and eighth in the world- at the festival in 2019.
