Julie Rezek Joins HackerAgency as North American President
SEATTLE, APRIL 7, 2016 — HackerAgency, an Interpublic Group global digital/direct marketing company, today announced that it has appointed Julie Rezek as North American president.
Rezek joins from Wunderman Seattle, where she most recently served as president and global client lead for Microsoft, the agency’s largest account worldwide.
Her first day at HackerAgency will be in June.
In this new role, Rezek will report to Spyro Kourtis, CEO of HackerAgency. Working closely with the company’s management team, Rezek will be in charge of growing the company’s North American footprint and finding new and innovative solutions to business problems. HackerAgency is headquartered in Seattle, and has offices in Munich, Prague, Beijing, Shanghai and Auckland.
In announcing the new role, HackerAgency CEO Spyro Kourtis said he was particularly impressed with Rezek’s leadership skills, digital and global expertise, and strong emphasis on building a nurturing workplace culture.

A longtime Wunderman veteran, Rezek joined the WPP company in 1999. Over the course of her 17 years there, she rose through the ranks, beginning as vp, director of e-marketing in Toronto, where she created and led the agency’s digital marketing practice. Since 2005, she’s maintained a leadership role on Microsoft, an account she worked on while rising from vp, account director to global group account director to general manager to, finally, global client lead in August 2015.
Under her tenure, another client, T-Mobile, was named “Marketer of the Year” by the Direct Marketing Association in 2013. Rezek has also been honored as a “40 Under 40” by the Puget Sound Business Journal.

As part of her new role, Rezek will also take over some of the responsibilities formerly held by HackerAgency executive vp and gm Matt Witter, who is leaving after 15 years with the company to explore other opportunities.
