FCB Wins Online Travel Rating Portal Zoover

FCB wins Zoover (, a new international client in the online segment. Since August the agency has been servicing the independent Dutch travel-rating portal from its Hamburg and Amsterdam offices.

Zoover arose as the first consumer portal of its kind within the European market 10 years ago and offers a complete range of destination reviews as well as one of the largest Dutch weather forecast platforms. Travel planners will find more than 1.5 million independent hotel reviews as well as information about attractions, campsites and holiday weather forecasts. 

“With Zoover we could convince a very exciting new client, which speaks for our digital expertise and for the internationality of FCB,” said Daniel Könnecke, CEO of FCB Hamburg. “Although so far they have never been actively running brand building, Zoover is a brand with an extremely high level of awareness in the Netherlands and provides enormous creative potential. We want to develop this potential and help Zoover to take the next step.” 

FCB Hamburg persuaded Zoover over the course of several workshops to partner with them and now acts as the lead agency for the client. In operational terms, FCB Hamburg works very closely together with their FCB colleagues in Amsterdam. The first project will be a cross-channel marketing campaign starting in January 2016 to reposition the Zoover brand. The campaign will be targeted at Dutch families who predominantly book holiday packages. “Until now, Zoover used to be the last 'countercheck' for users who then finally would book the trip elsewhere. We want to establish Zoover as one of the top online addresses being considered in the Netherlands for people who are in the mood for traveling but do not have a clear idea of where exactly they want to go,” said Könnecke.
