FCB Wins Gold at Cannes Lions 2018

FCB earns top trophies on day four, increasing its overall tally to 31 Lions 

FCB continues to build on its momentum during this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, adding 13 Lions to its collection on day four of awards week. In total, FCB has obtained 31 Lions – 4 Gold, 11 Silver and 16 Bronze – across multiple categories and media, in honor of powerful campaigns from a wide variety of offices around the world.

FCB/SIX has consistently led the pack of winning campaigns, securing 11 Lions to date for PFLAG Canada’s “Destination Pride.” Today the agency took home an additional six Lions for the campaign, including its third Gold of the Festival, in the Creative Data category, as well as a Silver in Direct and four individual Bronzes in Direct and Creative Data. 

FCB India also notched its first Gold of the Festival, for “Sindoor Khela – No Conditions Apply” for Times of India. The agency won Bronze at yesterday’s ceremony for the initiative, which unites women in India from all backgrounds to generate a new tradition of sisterhood.

Today’s FCB winning campaigns also saw seven awards in the Direct category – a record number of honors for the network in any single category thus far at Cannes Lions. In addition to “Destination Pride” and “No Conditions Apply,” the day’s accolades include work from Area 23 on behalf of the National Organization for Victim Assistance and Change the Ref, respectively: 

  • Silver: “The Rape Tax” – Direct – Area 23
  • Bronze: “Posts into Letters” – Direct – Area 23
