FCB Wins Four North American Effie Awards

Campaigns from FCB Chicago, FCB Garfinkel and FCB Health all bring home trophies

New York, June 8, 2015 – Winners of the 2015 North American Effie Awards and rankings for the North American Effie Effectiveness Index (Effie Index) were revealed tonight at the 47th annual Effie Awards Gala in New York.

The FDA Center for Tobacco Products’ “The Real Cost: Getting Teens to ReThink What They Know about Cigarettes” campaign, created by FCB Garfinkel, was awarded a Gold in the Disease Awareness and Education: Advocacy category. FCB Health’s “Hey MS, Take This!” campaign for Gilenya won Silver in the Healthcare/Rx – Consumer/DTC category. And in the Internet/telecom category, FCB Chicago’s “The Truck Whisperer” campaign for Fleetmatics won Bronze.

“The Real Cost team at FCB Garfinkel and our FDA clients are completely dedicated to wiping out youth tobacco use,” said FCB Garfinkel’s Jeff Tarakajian, EVP, account services. “With this campaign, we dug deeper to find fresh insights that drive compelling and engaging creative ideas that really resonated with the teens we were trying to reach. While we’re incredibly proud, this Effie win is nothing compared to the satisfaction we feel when our work helps one teen say no to smoking.”

Additionally, FCB/RED’s Big Heart Pet Brands campaign for Milk-Bone Brushing Chews was recognized as a Grand Effie Finalist, which features the top-scoring Gold Effie Award winners.
