FCB Ulka Chief Executive Officer Rohit Ohri Honored as One of India’s “100 Most Trusted CEOs of 2017”

New York, May 12, 2017 – Interpublic Group global creative agency FCB is proud to announce that FCB Ulka Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rohit Ohri was honored as one of India’s “100 Most Trusted CEOs of 2017” by the World Consulting and Research Corporation (WCRC). The awards were presented at the third edition of WCRC Superfest, held in New Delhi on May 8, and recognized transformational leadership in CEOs who have steered their organizations to great heights with their dynamism and energy.

Rohit Ohri, who began his role at FCB Ulka in January 2016, previously worked as chief executive officer at Dentsu Asia Pacific, and managing director for 21 years at JWT India after beginning his career at Response in 1989. Ohri, who also serves as a member of FCB’s global operating committee, replaced previous FCB Ulka CEO Nagesh Alai, who ascended to FCB global vice president. Ohri has become one of the industry’s most respected and efficient leaders, credited with quickly growing Dentsu to become a competitive international agency, as well as helping JWT to emerge as one of the most profitable offices of JWT globally. Ohri has earned top accolades, including being named one of the Top 10 Advertising Gurus in India by The Indian Express’s “100 Most Powerful People in India Survey” for three consecutive years (2012 – 2014), and receiving Campaign India’s “A-Lister” title for five consecutive years (2010 – 2014), to name a few.

The WCRC, India’s leading brand equity management and consulting firm, chose the award’s recipients based on their individual performance, ethics, and values, along with their company’s overall performance within the last fiscal year. The award presentation and list of Most Trusted CEOs will be featured in a special issue of WCRC Leaders Asia, a prominent publication of the WCRC focused on eminent business leaders.

This year’s “Most Trusted CEOs” paid tribute to 100 distinguished nominees in India’s business sector, including Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé India Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo India Shiva Kumar, President of American Express India Sanjay Rishi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai Motor Company India Y.K. Koo, and President and Chief Executive Officer of The Himalaya Drug Company Philipe Haydon.
