FCB Lisbon Wins Big at the 2018 Lusophone Awards of Creativity

Agency sweeps the podium, winning top honors for the third year in a row

FCB Lisbon had a remarkable showing at the 5thAnnual Lusophone Awards of Creativity (Prémios Lusófonos) last week, taking home 11 trophies as well as earning the show’s top accolades: Agency of the Year (for Portugal), Lusophone Agency of the Year and Network of the Year for FCB. The Lusophone Awards of Creativity “distinguishes what is best in advertising, communication and design in all Portuguese-speaking countries.” 

This is the third consecutive year that FCB Lisbon has won the three leading honors at the Lusophone Awards, out of the five total years that the festival has been in existence. The agency also secured two Grand Prix for Fundação Laço’s “Seio,” – the only two Grand Prix given – as well as nine additional awards (one Gold, two Silver and six Bronze) on behalf of Penguin Random House, Alfaguara, Comité Paralímpico Português, APAV, ACA-M and App Unitel.

Edson Athayde, FCB Lisbon chief executive officer and chief creative officer and this year’s TV & Radio jury president, said: “This is the third time in a row that FCB Lisbon wins this Agency of the Year award. This shows consistency, commitment to quality and a true passion for creativity: values we all share, goals we all embrace – our clients included.” 

These awards build on the strong winning streak for FCB Lisbon, as the agency was crowned Network of the Year at this fall’s LIAF Awards – as the most awarded agency at the festival – and Agency of the Year at the M&P Marketing Awards. At last year’s Lusophone Awards of Creativity, FCB Lisbon notched two Grand Prix for Fuel TV’s “Cobblestone Riders” and individual medals for clients Farmácia de Felicidade and Forca.

  • Bronze: “Confissões,” ACA-M – Radio 
  • Bronze: “Bebés,” App Unitel – TV and Cinema

 

The 2018 Lusophone Awards of Creativity were held on June 25 at the Microsoft Building in Lisbon.
