FCB Health’s Area 23 Sweeps the Med Ad News Manny Awards
FCB Health’s Area 23 Sweeps the Med Ad News Manny Awards for the Second Year in a Row, Winning Most Creative Agency, Most Admired Agency and Top Honors for Four Campaigns
New York, April 22, 2016 — Area 23, an FCB Health company, won six trophies last night at the 27th Annual Manny Awards, including Most Admired Agency and, for the second consecutive year, Most Creative Agency.
The Manny Awards, produced by Med Ad News, honors exceptional and innovative creativity in healthcare advertising and communications. The finalists and winners are determined by industry peers and the editors of Med Ad News.
“Winning Most Admired Agency came as such a surprise and an honor,” said Renée Mellas, one of Area 23’s two managing directors. “Our goal was never to be admired. We just strive to do the best work for our clients, so to be recognized by your peers this way, it really validates the hard work we’re all doing.”
“These wins are a direct reflection of the incredible work our teams are doing. And to win across so many categories, including consumer, professional, digital and medical devices, it’s really exciting to us because it means that the excellence isn’t limited to one area. Teams and departments across the agency are bringing it,” said Tim Hawkey, Area 23’s co-managing director and executive creative director.
As Med Ad News states in a press release, “The voting community for the 2016 Manny Awards strongly agreed that Area 23’s creative work was worthy of numerous accolades, including Most Creative Agency for the second consecutive year.”
“Our clients definitely deserve huge thanks,” added Mellas. “It takes a lot of courage to do things differently, to take risks with edgy creative or an innovation that no one has done before. Our clients’ pursuit of innovative marketing and advertising in this typically traditional marketplace—and their trust in us—makes it all possible.”
