FCB Chicago Names Christine Hennessey Corporate Communications Director
Veteran PR pro Christine Hennessey has joined FCB Chicago as corporate communications director. Hennessey, most recently a consultant for an eponymous firm, is responsible for promoting the talent, thought leaders and great campaigns created by the venerable agency.
Hennessey, whose career includes successful communications posts at Tribune Company and the Chicago Tribune, Allstate Insurance Company and PNC Financial Services Group, reports to Chicago President and CEO Michael Fassnacht and Jennifer Comiteau, FCB’s North American Director of Corporate Communications.
“Christine’s no-nonsense approach and great storytelling skills make her a great addition to our team,” said Fassnacht. “Her work has earned her many industry accolades and we’re thrilled she will help lead our efforts to amplify our creative excellence, culture and strategic smarts.”

During the course of her career, Hennessey served the Tribune organization in a variety of senior posts, including senior manager of communications, public relations and multimedia for the Chicago Tribune; group media relations manager/corporate office for the Tribune Company; corporate communications/public relations manager for Hoy, the Tribune Company Spanish language daily newspaper; and communications manager for the Tribune’s Interactive Division.
Whether promoting business development and philanthropic efforts at the Chicago Tribune or producing dynamic and engaging internal communications for Allstate Insurance Company claims employees, Hennessey is known for being spot-on with message, timing and audience.
As president and founder of her own consulting company, Hennessey provided a full range of corporate communications and public relations services including content, website creation and newsletters for clients including Topco, NuVal and Giant Ideas.
Hennessey is a native of Moline, Illinois and a graduate of Northern Illinois University. She’s called Chicago home for the majority of the past 24 years and loves the diversity the city has to offer – from theater to music to film to literature to forest preserves and the lakefront.
