FCB Canada Names Shelley Brown Chief Strategy Officer

Toronto Executive’s Promotion Adds Montreal to Her Remit – Increasing Strategic Collaboration Between Canadian Offices

Toronto, September 23, 2019 – FCB announced today that current FCB Toronto Chief Strategy Officer Shelley Brown has been promoted to FCB Canada’s Chief Strategy Officer, effective immediately. In this new role, Brown will oversee strategy efforts for FCB Toronto and FCB Montreal – a move that better reflects client needs and connects the unique expertise of each office.

Since joining FCB Toronto in 2015, Brown has played a critical role in elevating FCB’s focus and strength in strategic planning. Her efforts have been instrumental in driving business results for its clients and has put FCB Canada on the global map for strategic thinking and creativity.

“I believe that Shelley is the top strategic mind in Canada,” says FCB Canada Group CEO Tyler Turnbull. “This was reinforced at Cannes this year, when she accepted the first-ever Gold awarded for strategy for the work she led on the Canadian Down Syndrome Society. Because strategy has such a key role to play in the development of our creative product, it only made sense to have Shelley take on this expanded responsibility.” 

On the creative front, under Brown’s strategic leadership, FCB Canada has been a top performing Canadian agency at Cannes for the last three years in a row and has been a three-time winner of Strategy’s Digital Agency of the Year. FCB Canada has also dominated the Top 10 Strategists list on Strategy’s report card over the last three years.  

Brown’s promotion comes on the heels of the announcement of Bryan Kane joining as President of FCB Canada.
