FCB Amsterdam Names Massimo van der Plas New Chief Creative Officer

Press Release - Amsterdam, 19 January 2017

FCB Amsterdam announced today that Massimo van der Plas will be the new chief creative officer, effective February 1, 2017.

Van der Plas has experience working with brands such as Lidl, Ditzo, Bavaria 8.6 and T-Mobile, for which he won a Spin Award in 2016. Most recently, van der Plas was creative director at Etcetera and he also served as ECD at J. Walter Thompson and Publicis.

Van der Plas will also join FCB Amsterdam Chairman Benjamin Messelink, CFO Arjan Hamel and CEO Jos Vis on the agency’s board of directors.

“I am very proud that we can welcome Massimo as the new chief creative officer of FCB Amsterdam,” stated Vis. “We want to strengthen our creative profile and, given our size and clientele, there are a lot of opportunities. I fully realize that there is a challenge to present ourselves much more creatively and I see Massimo as just the person to make it happen.”
