Creative Infusion at FCB Toronto
New Supporting Cast Members Join in Key Roles
FCB Toronto today announced the hiring of four new creatives and a vice president of operations.
Kinga Karadi, who most recently ran her own boutique marketing consulting firm specializing in designing agile operational processes for agencies without impacting creative thinking, is the shop’s new VP of operations. Copywriter Sabiha Chaudry and art directors Kristen Stackhouse. Naeem Walji and Gira Moin have joined the shop’s creative department.
“Whether working in the financial sector overseeing marketing trading services or at companies in the Canadian broadcasting industry, Kinga excels at creating successful marketing campaigns for clients and agencies,” said agency Chief Executive Officer Tyler Turnbull. “A natural leader, Kinga is determined to find opportunities that help companies improve profitability and generate market share growth.”
Karadi spent five years at Klick Health, ultimately rising to the rank of senior director. She’s a multi-dimensional marketing professional with more than 13 years of industry experience who has proved adept at leading cultural change to produce enterprise excellence and first-class client relationships. “I’m a creative and strategic business leader who will redefine our operations for the digital age,” said Karadi. “I’ve navigated fast-paced brands in multiple categories and look forward to putting my imprimatur on FCB Toronto, a shop with smarts and momentum.”
Agency Chief Creative Officer Jon Flannery, who like Turnbull was appointed by FCB Worldwide Chief Executive Officer Carter Murray last year to steer the shop, said energy at the shop is building and talent is eager to take part in the agency’s transformation. “Our momentum is palpable,” said Flannery, who recently oversaw the creation of a buzzed-about campaign for the 2015 Pan Am Games on behalf of The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation. “We are building something big and are excited to find smart and savvy thinkers to help us achieve our goals.”
Chaudry is a copywriter with more than a decade of experience in the industry. She joins from Geometry Global, where she worked on accounts including Imperial Tobacco’s wide portfolio of brands. She also worked on Pirelli Tires, Buffalo Jeans and Sanofi and is sure to lend a strong voice to the brands FCB Toronto stewards.
Stackhouse is an art director who truly values how great design and strategic creative can transform a brand. Her passion lies in creating meaningful, eco-positive and inclusive design that stands out for its function as much as its form. With a background that spreads across all media – and across several continents – her true love lies in digital and the art of creating exceptional user experiences. She joins FCB Toronto from Wunderman, where she most recently was responsible for multiple digital and out-of-home experiences for Microsoft and Nike as well as many CRM programs for BMW and Microsoft. Previous clients during her tenure at Proximity/BBDO include BlackBerry, Sirius XM, HP, Gillette, Campbell’s and more.
Walji, an art director, joins FCB from Cheil in Canada. He previously worked at Agency59, Refresh, Venture Communications and Espresso. His work for clients including Mercedes-Benz, Sirius XM, Swiffer and Amnesty International has been recognized by publications including the ADCC, Adweek, Best Ads on TV, Communications Arts, Creativity and more.
Moin, who previously worked at Cheil Worldwide, 6 Degrees Integrated Communications and Cundari, is adept at inserting herself into the shoes of any consumer to tap into real insights and tell true-to-life stories. Volvo, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and Kraft are among the brands to benefit from her innate curiosity and talent.
The hires will help Turnbull and Flannery build on the agency’s great heritage in modern ways. Key Canada clients include Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corp., Sun Life Financial, Mondelez, Purolator, Nestlé Canada, Foodland Ontario, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, DLM Canada, Dole, Air Canada, NIVEA, Belair Direct, Grey Power, Fido, Royal Canadian Mint and Weight Watchers.
