BMW and FCB Inferno Unveil "Butterflies" Film for the BMW i8 Roadster

To support the launch of the new BMW i8 Roadster, BMW UK tasked FCB Inferno with creating a campaign asset that could be used across VOD, social and OOH channels to launch this supercar with a bang. As well as launching the new BMW i8 Roadster, the campaign also had the task of acting as a halo model for the BMW range. FCB Inferno created a 30" spot, along with the Mill LA, to show off the new BMW i8 Roadster in all its glory, as a supercar like no other. The spot brings to life all of the sophistication and punch of the new model, and concludes with the famous line "floats like a butterfly…"

"'Butterflies' perfectly reflects the new BMW i8 Roadster: beautiful, elegant and progressive, with the performance and kick of a supercar," said Sophie Chiappe, BMW i Marketing Manager.

Created by Matt Skolar and Eoghain Clarke, and directed by Andrew Proctor of The Mill LA, the 30 second film asset was used across VOD, YouTube, digital display, DOOH and social channels throughout late June and July.
