Area 23 Makes History as First to Win All Top Honors at 2017 Manny Awards
Agency Scores Agency of the Year – Category 1, Most Admired & Most Creative Honors
NEW YORK, April 27, 2017 — FCB Health swept this year’s Manny Awards, with specialty agency Area 23 scoring Agency of the Year (Category 1), Most Creative Agency and Most Admired Agency, marking the first time in the history of the awards show that any agency has won all three of the top awards. This is Area 23’s second time to win Manny’s Agency of the Year Award, its third time being named Most Creative Agency and its second consecutive time for Most Admired. In total, FCB Health and Area 23 brought home a combined six awards at the annual healthcare communications awards. The FCB Health Network has been named “Agency of the Year” by Med Ad News, Medical Marketing & Media, Advertising Health and the Global Awards a combined total of eight times, and “Most Creative Agency” seven of the past eight years.
Area 23’s historic achievements at the Manny Awards were showcased on the same evening that FCB Health Network CEO and President Dana Maiman was honored as Med Ad News’ Industry Person of the Year. The Med Ad News Manny Awards honor the creative work of agencies serving the healthcare market, their people and their contributions to the industry. An annual gala was held for award recipients and honorees, with winners announced on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York City.
