Coca-Cola - Bobby

Following the success of the Share a Coke campaign in Australia – where the world’s biggest brand replaced their logo with people’s names – the marketing idea was to be implemented in South Africa. Coca-Cola South Africa wanted to communicate this marketing idea in a locally relevant way. FCB Johannesburg and Coca-Cola brought the concept to life in a commercial in which we experience the enthusiasm of authentic teens across multiple sub-cultures enjoying personalized Cokes through the eyes of an adorable dog, “Bobby,” in search of his own name. The commercial proved to have likability scores in the top 5% of all Coke commercials produced globally in the last 20 years. So this summer, Coca-Cola South Africa and FCB Johannesburg’s ad will be flighting in over 80 countries worldwide.
