Mareen Dastyari joins FCB Hamburg as New Client Service Director and Janina Levy, Managing Director, moves on from the agency after four years

As of September 1, Mareen Dastyari has joined FCB Hamburg as client service director on the national Beiersdorf account. The accomplished businesswoman with substantial expertise in marketing is responsible for client account management for Beiersdorf in Germany and will report directly to Daniel Könnecke, CEO.

Mareen is already familiar with both Beiersdorf and FCB. She previously worked as a full-time employee and as a freelancer at FCB and TBWA for Beiersdorf. In total, Mareen’s career spans over 16 years with experience in the marketing and advertising industries.

Regarding her new role, she stated, “I am really happy to be back on board at FCB for our client, Beiersdorf. For me, it feels like going “back to the family” and I am looking forward to all of the new challenges that await me here. I’m also excited to work with Daniel. For me, he is a guarantee of the exciting development of the agency.”

Daniel Könnecke happily pointed out: “From our perspective, Mareen is the absolute top choice for our client, Beiersdorf. Not only because she has a lot of Beiersdorf experience already, but because she also knows many colleagues at FCB and can start right away at full speed.” 

Janina Levy, previously managing director at FCB Hamburg, decided to leave the agency effective November 30, 2015. “After four great years at FCB and 20 years in the advertising industry, I’d like to put my focus on something else and get involved in something exclusively social. After much planning, the time has come where I can finally implement this,” Janina Levy explained her personal decision. 

“Of course, I regret that Janina has decided to reorient, but at the same time, I have great respect for her decision. I thank her for her great dedication, passionate energy and the excellent work that she did on NIVEA and the Pearl Brands and obtained during the repositioning of our agency. Additionally, it was also Janina who found Mareen for us and brought her on board,” said Daniel Könnecke.
