FCB Adds to Creative Line Up in Toronto

Press Release - Toronto, 19 January 2016

ACDs and copywriter bolster agency

Toronto, January 19, 2016 – FCB Toronto is bolstering its ranks with the addition of three new creatives.  The hiring reunites a powerful creative team and adds a talented copywriter to the FCB roster.

Joining FCB Toronto as associate creative directors (ACDs) are Jeremiah McNama, writer, and Andrew MacPhee, art director.  The new ACDs are widely acclaimed for the creation of the popular “We the North” campaign for the Toronto Raptors.

“Jeremiah and Andrew are smart, talented and hungry.  They also happen to be really good guys and are a perfect fit for our open model built on talent and collaboration,” says Jon Flannery, chief creative officer at FCB.  “These guys will inspire and deliver great work to help FCB create behaviour-changing campaigns for our clients.”

With significant, relevant experience in sports and brand marketing, McNama and McPhee will be focused on the BMO account at FCB.

“Coming to FCB to work with a creative leader like Jon, to join forces with Jeremiah again, and collaborate with clients like BMO is a unique opportunity,” says MacPhee. “The bank’s new strategy for basketball and the NBA, as well as its revitalized brand platform, are bursting with potential.”

Before joining FCB, McNama, worked as a copywriter at 72andSunny in Los Angeles, Sid Lee, and other agencies for over 10 years. MacPhee, who has eight years of agency experience in art direction, comes to FCB directly from Sid Lee.  As a creative team, McNama and McPhee have worked on numerous, award-winning campaigns including Sports Chek, the Toronto Raptors, and Axe.

Lindsay Eady, an accomplished copywriter with five years of experience, has also been hired and will be working on the BMO business and other accounts at FCB. Coming to FCB from Grey Canada, Eady is a strong collaborator and storyteller who will add to the initiative and energy that fuel the agency’s creative line-up.

“We’re continuing to build our team,” says Flannery.  “FCB Toronto is undergoing an exciting creative transformation with the right mix of talent and clients.”

Key clients of FCB Toronto include BMO, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation, Mondelez, Purolator, and Foodland Ontario.
